Frame painted and then a fiberglass coating was sprayed on.

Location:
At the Estevan National Exhibition Center at 118 Fourth Street

Reason for Building:

Paul Cloutier, an artist with the Public Relations Department, Saskatchewan Power Corporation, created Lignite Louie for the Commissioning of plant extensions at the Boundary Dam Power Station.

Additional Information:

Lignite Louie was given to the Estevan Chamber of Commerce to be used exclusively for Chamber Promotions. Louie depicts the pioneer coal miners of the past in the Estevan Area Coalfields.
