Reason for Building:

Stick and puck was commissioned government of Canada for Expo 86 in Vancouver.

Additional Information:

"The stick was shipped to Duncan from Expo 86 in Vancouver by barge. Before it was installed the people of Duncan brought out sandpaper and sanded it. Then it was hooked up to a crane and raised on top of the Community Centre." The stick "is black, brown, white, red and at night small lights cover the outside edges of the stick."
